17th Street CNA is a diverse family community built of many different backgrounds. We are proud to have members that include many different races, ages, education levels, religions and cultures. We also are partnered with other community organizations, local businesses and local government groups who share in our concerns for the community we work, worship, and live in.
17th Street was founded back in 2012 by Pastor Michelle Parsons-Leverson and her late husband Shon Parsons at West Presbyterian Church . As a “boots on the ground” organization, 17th Street’s Outreach extends from Belleville through Swansea. Over the years, we have been blessed to continue growing and impacting more lives.
As we continue to grow, our interests for helping our surrounding community has grown with us. We are proud to say, that even though we are a growing local neighborhood association, our members and partners span not only from the Belleville/Swansea area, but spread throughout Southern Illinois and now into the Metro East. With hard economic times, and with people looking to open their hearts, 17th Street CNA is here with open arms.
