This year, 17th Street Summer Camp Impact Will be held at Douglas Elementary School.
17th St brings higher education to our younger people a lot sooner than high school. We get things done and have plenty of fun as our children see future career and educational paths. While at camp we reinforce this college readiness with fun activities that challenge their creative process and thirst for knowledge.
Hunger Free Summer
Hunger is one of the most severe roadblocks to the learning process. When school lets out many children are at risk of hunger. Because 17th Street Camp Impact is an open site, children ages 12 months to 17 who are not enrolled in our summer camp can eat a breakfast and lunch free of charge while summer camp is in session.
Under the guidance of our professional instructor we show kids that a block of wood can turn into a masterpiece. Not only do the boys learn carpentry but the girls get hands on with many tools of the trade. We build more than projects. We build dreams.
